A recent report states that according to the latest statistics, Li is no longer the most numerous surname among Chinese people. That title now belongs to the Wangs of the world who, with 93 million members of their extended family, comprises over seven percent of all Chinese people. Wang (王）in Chinese means 'king' or 'ruler.'
