Shanghaiist reader Matt points out this passage from a recent New York Times Magazine profile of American comedian Rob Corddry:
Best useless object: I have these Lonely Planet travel books. Half these places I haven’t been to, but I got romantic about them at one time and bought the book. Like Shanghai. I don’t remember why I thought I was going there.
This reminds us of two things: We really need to go to the Philippines soon, or else that LP book we bought two years ago is going to be really obsolete — anyone want to trade it for a Singapore LP? (Seriously.) And we should start downloading the The Daily Show again — although it appears Corddry left the show in August. Shame. (But at least that gives him more time to write for an alt-porn site.)
