So both of these links work:
http://www.myspace.cn/shanghaiist
http://www.myspace.com/shanghaiist
Seems like the way you can tell if someone signed up through .cn is if their city still shows up in Chinese when you are viewing the .com version. And some guy name Wukong is the Chinese Tom, the guy who is everyone's friend. Wukong has 1,508 friends right now — that might be a good way to gauge the growth of MySpace.cn. For now, however, we will celebrate that for the next 10 minutes at least, our Alexa ranking is higher than MySpace.cn's.
Alright, we are off to make some new friends. If you like to be our friend, go here and click “加为好友”. Get cracking already, see you online.

As of today, ONLY myspace.cn works in the People's Republic of Safe Internet.
You can't get onto myspace.com anymore- in order to use myspace.cn of course, you have to sign a disclaimer saying that you agree to work with the Chinese government, have your information scanned, yadda yadda yadda.
Thanks for reading and I love the People's Republic of China, the world's best country, where nothing bad ever happens, the air is perfectly clean, the water in the rivers is not only safe to swim in but also to drink. ^_^
