Japan Probe has run a few more updates on the situation. Three other amusement parks in the Beijing Area are also involved in blatant copyright violations.

They can't possibly get away with this... Copy stonehenge? Go for it. Egypt's pyramids? What's anyone gonna do? But to rip-off someone's current intellectual property? When will China wise up and stop hurting the feelings of the people of Horrywood?

an honest opinion here, why couldn't they just use some of the other native mascots or ideas, like officer black cat, journey to the west, or even the new 2008 Olympics mascot?
