-Yes, but wheat also come into baijiu in the form of &quot;qu&quot;, or &quot;fermentation base&quot;. It can be significant, as in the case of Maotai, where every liter of liquor consumes 3.7 lbs of sorghum, but as much as 6.2 lbs of (wheat) fermentation base.

Baijiu can be made from rice, too, as Homeboy suggested. A fine example is a local liquor from Shaghai&apos;s own suburb, Qi-Bao Old Town.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
