If you ever stood under or near the Maglev when it is zipping by at 431 KPM, it sounds like a F1 race car. VERY LOUD.

Mr. Chen, spin it anyway you want. It's a victory for those who oppose it. The wheeled version can pretty much get the same job done at half the cost.

Most likely, the officials who approved maglev in the 1st place are now facing bribery charges. No backer = no project.

Beijing has been begging/harassing Germany for more "cooperation" regarding maglev technology because the Chinese engineers couldn't get satisfactory results from the scraps of technology and knowledge they stole from the first maglev project. The Germans have rightfully rebuffed all attempts at further "cooperation" because there is no benefit for them.

I've walked under the maglev line several times, it's right next to my office. It's quieter than any normal train or passing car.

Radiation seems a bit of a boogie man too, is it nuclear powered?!
