No Name, Hedgehog and a very cool Cold Fairyland

Oh, the fun of Friday nights. After putting back a few drinks at the Shanghaiist party or SCAA charity dinner, a night of great music (Beijing bands) lies ahead.
Billed as the 'Young Beijing' night, No Name (pictured above) will be joined by noise pop punk band Hedgehog and Life Journey (not sure how to describe their music) at 4Live. No Name is a fun, old school punk band that earlier this year signed a record deal with Razorblade Records, one of the EU's better known punk labels. Recently the entire band moved from their hometown of Xian to Beijing to work on the new album. So even though the band is new to Beijing, they are still a young (actually pretty old) Xi'an band at heart. Also making their way down from Beijing is nu-metal band S.A.W. who will be playing Friday night at Live Bar and Saturday night at 021 Bar.
After spending the night listening to hard, fast riffing bands, Saturday offers a perfect change of pace. Cold Fairyland, one of Shanghai's most beloved bands, will be playing at the Dream Factory. Fusing traditional Chinese music with modern folk rock Cold Fairyland will be celebrating the release of their latest album.
On the other side of town, the Sultans of Swing, Georgia Sam Blues and many others will be playing a night of blues at the down-on-its-luck Live Bar, which will also be hosting Noishanghai IX on Sunday.
