Confirmed artist line-up for Live Earth?

liveearth.jpgAs we get closer to July 7, the day of Al Gore’s Live Earth concert, more info has popped-up on the official artist line-up in Shanghai:

RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS
KANYE WEST
BON JOVI
ARCTIC MONKEYS
JACK JOHNSON
DAVE MATTHEWS BAND
BEASTIE BOYS

…will not be playing at Shanghai's Pearl Tower. Instead, we get to rock out to the sounds of 12 Girls Band, Sarah Brightman, Eason Chan, Evonne Hsu, Anthony Wong Yiu Ming, Huang Xiao Ming, Winnie Shin, Soler, and Joey Young! It seems that Live Earth is still all over the map in terms of organization, especially in China. The line-up and location (it's going to be near the Pearl Tower) are still not posted on their official site, with less than three weeks to go to the event. Instead, Shanghaiist found this info on Wikipedia’s entry for the event (yes, it’s still unblocked), under the “Confirmed Performers” section ... so who knows whether or not this is good intel. Also still missing from the official site is ticket ordering info for the Shanghai event. Luckily, if live Sarah Brightman isn't your thing, the other concerts will be streamed live via MSN. In the meantime, may we recommend picking up the 12 Girls Band: Live in Shanghai DVD?

UPDATE: Apparently, the official site updated its Shanghai ticketing info and artist line-up today:

Yeah, I didn't think the "Free Txxxt" Beastie Boys would be playing here in Shanghai. Too bad, I'm looking forward to their new album.

Wow, that's a whole lot of suck.

Sounds like a great day...to stay home and drink some beer.

That much syrupy pansy ass emptiness might be interesting with enough acid. Naaaah! What a waste of electricity and concert gear.
