Chinese singer refuses to get naked for fame

Late last year, actress Zhang Yu made headlines for blowing the whistle on the widespread use of the "casting couch" in the Chinese film and TV industry. The above video reminded us of that, though in this case, the two men are attempting to get the woman, named Shi Mei, to do some kind of nude scene for her music video. They try to persuade her this way and that, while Shi replies that although she wants to be famous, she doesn't believe that she has to disrobe in order to do so. She asks the men if they'd do the same, were they faced with the same choice. One of them replies, "sure, if the concept demands it." They continue to argue back and forth, and the video ends with these lines, which could be right out of movie themselves:

石:“我相信是金子总会发光的。”
Shi: I believe that real gold will shine through.
张:“就算是金子,也要脱了才会发光啊。”
Zhang: Even if it's gold, it's got to 'take it off' before it shines.

(OK, it makes more sense in Chinese, but you get the point.) We don't exactly keep up with Chinese pop stars, but judging from the picture and the name mentioned, we think Shi Mei's Chinese name is 石梅 and she's relatively unknown: Baidu image searches hardly pick her up, and music-wise there were only one or two singles that we could find.
We're not sure this video is 100% real, judge for yourselves.

And its no surprise that these "casting couch" guys all have bad comb-overs, yellow teeth and frequently discharge bodily fluids about the public domain.

this has promotional stunt written all over it, I think it would have been more effective if she just got naked, better yet my vote is for her and Zola, the media whore, to make a video

Sounds kind of fake to me (I'm Chinese by the way and speak Mandarin fluently). Just by their expressions and their tone of voice...just all sounds like reading from a bad script by bad actors haha. But then again, who knows...just my opinion.
