Photo of the Day: The renminbi hits a new high

renminbi.jpg
Rejoice all ye who are getting paid in renminbi, because the "people's currency" has hit a new post-revaluation high against the US dollar yesterday. It went past the 7.6100 mark for the very first time, going up as high as 7.6073 to the dollar at 10.25am. And according to an unnamed Chinese dealer in this Reuters report, "although the yuan has frequently been hitting record highs these past few weeks, the pace is still within the central bank's comfort zone." Oh yes, we sure are hoping for more!
