We told you about Chrysler’s cooperation with Chery not so long after it got sued by GM Daewoo for the imitation of its Spark minicar. And now it is official. Chrysler and Chery have just signed a deal to develop small and sub-compact cars for sale in North America and Europe. In the first quarter of next year, Chrysler will begin by selling the Chery A1 in the US. The 1.3-liter A1 costs as little as 53,800 yuan ($7,100) in China whereas Chrysler’s least expensive U.S. model is the $13,850 Dodge Caliber.
