This movie sucked.

As someone that liked transformers as a kid this movie made me want to pour salt in my eyes and beat my head against the wall.

"Yeah, there are some massive plot holes"

Here in the US, there was only 1-2 mentions of China, North Korea was used as the stand-in bad guy in place of China to try to get through the censors, but I guess they all had enough green tea to be fully awake to see that small trick and nip it in the bud.

I liked the movie, it wasn't a korny japanese movie, the TV show was annoying at times and the focus of "bad behavior" was the US gov't and its "secret division". The movie in the US ends with various characters being interviewed about aliens and all of them adapt this vapid look on their face and say "well, if there were aliens I believe our government would tell us about it".

FYI UME is always free for ladies on Wednesdays, as long as they go with a man. No matter what the film is.

I am kind of mad (where kinda = very, but only as mad as you can get over a Transformers movie) that they changed Jazz from a Porsche 911 to a freaking Pontaic Piece O'Crap. JAZZ!

At least they paid homage to the original bumblebee by having the Beetle in its introductory scene.

The censoring was annoying - every curse word was like a needle skip on a record player.

Was it a better robot movie, GM advertisement, or army recruiment video? All the autobots were GM cars . . . . . I was kinda hoping Bay would do his typical flag-waving and make all the Decepticons Toyotas . . . .

In any case, very enjoyable. The first half of the movie was much better than the second though, in almost every sense. It was like Michael Bay got tired of the gradual build and witty dialogue, ripped up the script, and turned to his special effects people screaming 'Me want big boom now!'

Yeah, there are some massive plot holes. They might in part exist because I'd say at least 15 minutes of the movie was edited out - a long car chase scene in the beginning and I think a few exposition scenes later on. Why?

There is also a funny moment when the US military thinks it's the Chinese hacking their system and not the Decepticons, and when they are discussing the threat every time they should be saying 'China' the censors garbled it. Funny. I wasn't watching the sub-titles so I'm not sure if it survived there.

Ladies WERE free tonight, but I'm pretty sure guys had to pay double price haha. I paid 100 for my ticket, my lady friend got in for free. When I looked at the tickets, they each said 50 so...

Anyways, GREAT movie. Typical action, a little hard to tell apart the bots but oh well.

Should I be embarrassed that I enjoyed a Michael Bay so much? Screw it, I liked the Rock too.

Just go in with no expectations about any semblance of a plot or character development or even things that make sense. Don't worry about plot holes that you could drive Optimus Prime through. Don't even worry that they screwed up Megatron's character.

It was AWESOME. I felt like a 6th grader again. I was smiling stupidly when Optimus Prime first appeared.

Yes it's dumb. Yes it's corny. Yes it's a fun 2 hours. Great summer movie.
