I can guarantee you there is not one single reader who goes to a site called Shanghaiist hoping to hear news about Israel and Bangladesh. Every single person wants to hear about Shanghai. Posting these kinds of articles just waters down the site with BS.
believe it or not, guest, i live in shanghai and i care about news that is going on outside of shanghai and i don't mind learning of said news from a site with "shanghai" in its title. the less clicking around the internet i need to do the better. until there is a bangladeshist i say, why not? how often do these "around asia" posts appear anyway? weekly? i can handle that.
