• Kabul, Afghanistan - Second South Korean hostage killed
  The second hostage among a group of 23 South Koreans to be kidnapped by the Taliban has been shot to death, and the bullet-ridden body of 29 year old Sim Sungmin has been found by Afghan police. Qari Yousef Ahmadi, a Taliban spokesman, has said that the militants would "kill more hostages if the Afghanistan government does not release prisoners by noon on Wednesday".


• Mumbai, India - Bollywood star weeps as he heads for prison
  One of Bollywood's biggest film stars wept in court today after being sentenced to six years in prison for possessing weapons linked to a terror attack which killed 257 people in Bombay in 1993.

  Kaing Guek Eav, the man who ran one of Cambodia's most notorious prisons under the Khmer Rouge was today charged with crimes against humanity by a UN-backed tribunal.


• Jakarta, Indonesia - President Yudhoyono sues for polygamy claim
  Indonesia's President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono has filed a lawsuit against a former House leader today after being accused of polygamy, which is illegal for civil servants in the world's most populous Muslim nation.
