Torturing Nurses and Lolita Vibrator Torture

Never able to keep a secret, Shanghaiist has gotten some fat little morsels of gossip on our plate that we are dying to share...but that will have to wait until next week.....for now you will have to be content with this weekends roundup of live events.

Live Bar, that stalwart of the Shanghai music scene, is turning Japanese this Friday..Uh, yes we really think so. Ghod (no relation to the big one upstairs) rolls back into town for a night of Japanese rock. On Saturday, Live Bar plays host to yet another instillation of the Noishanghai series. Always putting on an interesting show, Shanghai's very own Torturing Nurse will be joined by UK outfit Patel Pretal and aptly named noiseketeers (think mouseketeers) Lolita Vibrator Torture. If the noise bands names weren't enough to get you off your ass and out to Yangpu then the fact that Muscle Snog will also be playing, should. 4Live will be holding a special multimedia presentation by Get it Louder on Saturday that should be an interesting mix of music and epileptic inducing visuals. According to the schedule, Bon Bon seems to still be holding weekly concerts (does any one actually go?) and this Sunday locals Seesaw and Ferris Wheel take the stage. Another limited week in choices for the live scene....but....damn exciting stuff coming up......
