Rinpoches or reincarnated high lamas are starting to appear as westerners. The most famous one was Lama Yeshe who died in 1984 only to be reborn as a Spanish child called Lama Osel. The story is well documented in the book Reincarnation and the film Little Buddha. Maybe a Lama will be reincarnated as a senior member of the CPC.
