That is so sweet. I sense deep down, Nanhe, actually cares about China. Much like an admonishing parent who hopes for a child to straighten up.

It's either that or someone needs/wants attention badly. Definition of futility: Screaming and yelling but not making a sound or difference. That is saddest of all. Never mind that as the world becomes interconnected, the ultimate failure of a country affects more than just one stakeholder. We know that you want China to fall apart into chaos. Be careful for what you wish for. In game theory, this is called a lose-lose situation.

China's rise is the worst thing to happen to the human race. Nothing good has come of it, not even cheap consumer products or easy credit. I eagerly wait the Beijing Olympics to self-destruct in a perfect storm of international activism, peasant and minority uprisings, sandstorms and toxic clouds (and toxic silver iodide rain) as well as the knee jerk big commie crackdowns that will follow.

As things stand, more and more nations intending to participate in the Olympics are making plans to fly their teams in from nearby locales (and I mean SK, Japan, Oz, Vietnam and HK) just before competitions instead of putting them in the Olympic villages to limit exposure to Beijing's chemical and biological filth and slime.

Low down, dirty, bad China.

Beijing 2008 Summer Game is a event hosted by the people of China to display the proud of Chinese. Any political discrepancies should direct to the highest authority of China and not using the stage to dispute in front of the face of all Chinese.

Any embareassment caused at the event would have the same repercussion from the people of China. I suggest those protestors think twice of the consequence and effect.
