19 year old mom seeks kind-hearted soul to adopt her baby

Sichuan TV reports of a helpless 19 year old girl by the name of Yan Chunyan in Wenzhou that has gone on the streets on the search for a kind hearted soul who will adopt her baby. The 21 year-old man with whom she had been living together for over two years and who fathered her child has disappeared, and without a job, she simply doesn't know what to do. When asked why she wanted a baby at such a young age, she explained:

He said this was the Year of the Golden Pig, and he wanted a baby to be born in the Year of the Golden Pig, and that he didn't want to miss this chance... I told him to wait a few years, but he said he would have to wait another 60 years for a Golden Pig baby and begged and pleaded with me. [Translation by Shanghaiist]

But now with her man gone and even his father too (their house is now padlocked), and with all of her phone-calls to him unanswered, Yan is now looking to give away her baby:

I am just looking for some kind-hearted soul to please adopt my baby. I am not asking for much. Just allow me to see him once a year and I will be more than satisfied.

And how did this girl meet that brute, you ask? On an Internet chatroom! Do we need any more proof that the Internet is changing the lives of ordinary Chinese citizens?

    And you can only dream!

I would like a definition for neo-expat, please.

Wow. Seems like Yu is jealous and angry at someone, and/or generally insecure.

"I was here 2.7 years before you! I am cool and know the secrets! I EVEN WENT TO THE OLD TANG HUI!"

The clarion call of any saddo.

Rich Shanghaiist reader? ha, looking at the quality of some of the replies, the site is only attracting the neo-expats who come with no corporate prescreening for qualifications, only a selfish sense of adventure but barely the means to support oneself. Amazingly a mom like this one, despite her ignorance, probably knows responsibility at this point more than some of the new neo-expat readers of Shanghaiist.

Golden Pig babies are lucky! Now some rich Shanghaiist subscriber will adopt the kid.

The culprit should be stupidity, not the Internet. You can pray and whine to GOD and get ignored without exception but if you beg a Chinese woman to have your baby, you'll get your way each every time!

i got one word for her, and it rhymes with post natal abortion.

How much is she hocking it for? I need a new ay-i.
