The Shanghaiist Weather Center is 100 percent sure the answer will be yes (although is Shanghai Circuit really in Shanghai?). It's dry now in the French Concession, but the dark clouds above suggest it won't stay that way for long. Here's the latest weather update from the official Formula 1 website:

Thus far Sunday has been dry with a little wind, but no sign of the edge of Typhoon Krosa, which is sweeping through the region and which may yet bring some havoc to the race.

There is still a 90 per cent chance of thunderstorms and high winds, with a current ambient temperature high prediction of 27 degrees Celsius.

The race will run over 56 laps of the 5.451 kilometre (3.387 mile) track, or 305.066 kilometres (189.568 miles). It starts at 1400 hours local time, which is eight hours ahead of GMT.

If you, like us, are not headed out to today's race (which starts in less than one hour), there are plenty of ways you can still follow the action if you, unlike us, are into that kind of thing. The race, we imagine, will be live on Chinese TV. We'd check for you but we managed to rent the only apartment in Shanghai without Chinese cable. For those of you with illegal satellites from the Philippines (shame, shame), the race will be on Star Sports (right now they are doing a feature on Yu Yuan, Keanu Reeves' favorite hangout).
