I hate to be mean about the photos you pick, but when there's Chris Spira, Howard French, LifeMage, Monkeyking and so many others out there, the choices for this feature seem a little odd.

Part of the problem (when I was choosing photos) is that not all of these great photographer's photographs have 'shanghaiist' tags -> which is a tacit approval for the site to use the tagged photos.
Unfortunately for Shanghaiist photography fans, HWF, LifeMage & MonkeyKing rarely (if never) tag their photos with 'shanghaiist'.
In saying that, this quartet have awesome photos (with Chris' being among my faves).
