After a loud and exciting Halloween, tonight is a good chance to head out, sit back and chill to the soothing tunes of The Swamp and 21G at 4Live. Alternatively, composer Mark Chan has put together a live score for the classic, silent Chinese film Little Toys and will be performing it during the film’s screening at the Shanghai Concert Hall. If you are craving excitement, then head to Live Bar where a Beijing Brit-pop band called 波澜童话乐队专场 (couldn't find the English name) will be playing.
Saturday, Yuyintang will be holding a mini-festival of sorts, showcasing nine of the bands from record label Miniless’s roster. Definitely recommend catching the Los, from Hefei, and the handful of Shanghai based bands making their debut. Uprooted Sunshine Soundsystem, a Shanghai reggae collective, will be celebrating their two-year anniversary at 4Live. While the STD party out at Logo bar will feature the Huhu Mama's and a "mystery band" ... oh, how we love a good surprise.
On Sunday, Torturing Nurse and fellow noise makers move their Noishanghai party to Yuyintang for the 12th installment.
