Where we're going tonight: Microshelter

shelter.gifPlease excuse us for what will be a day of light posting. We've been puking cosmopolitans and bile ALL morning from this really hot party last night at the Le Meridien that we didn't tell you about (hah! sometimes we prefer to keep the fun to ourselves), but even before we've said goodbye to the thousand diablos hammering on our head right now, we're already planning on where to get ourselves further plastered tonight. Long-time readers of Shanghaiist will know that we have this thing for bomb shelters and underground dungeons, but tonight we're going to check out for ourselves what this buzz surrounding Shanghai's latest underground venue, The Shelter, is all about. The Micro DJ collective — comprising of Bernard Wusner, B6, Ben Huang, dji and tootekool — comes together with some of the biggest names in the local jazz scene — Coco Zhao, Vladimir and our very own JQ Whitcomb — to present microshelter. Included in the quirky and eclectic mix for the evening is the "twisted installation artistry" of recent London Royal School of Art graduate, Simon Husslein. Twisted sounds like us, so we will be sure to check it out.

When:
Tonight, 10pm

Wow, drinking alcohol makes you so cool and fun!

That was sarcasm.
