<description>&lt;p&gt;Wasn&apos;t this planned maglev also cancelled because the Germans under Merkel weren&apos;t going to give away the same freebies like they did for the Pudong line.
And China needs that technology because the maglev they cobbled together is far from being ready for real use.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

<description>&lt;p&gt;If there really is a link between electromagnetic currents and cancer, we&apos;re fucked.  However after a lot of research that hasn&apos;t established a link, I think we&apos;re OK.  The larger problem for anyone living 3-5 meters from the track is that there&apos;s a train rushing by at 270 miles/hour, 3-5 meters from where they live.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
