Someone from SL Magazine must have upset this nasty and ignorant writer!!! The magazine is distributed in London only! Most of all, it looks classy and beautiful! It is shocking that such malicious and revengeful personal opinion is allowed to be publicized on Shanghaiist.

I think it's just a bit mean to trash a new magazine so harshly. It's got to be difficult to compete with all the free mags in Shanghai and at least SL is trying to do something different. Come on... Ouch. Especially what you say is their first issue.

I'm sure SL magazine isn't up to much but how can Shanghaiist write a review like this, actually insulting it with "p*ss-poor", and yet say nothing of City Weekend, That's Shanghai, SH etc etc. Take CW - just cos a magazine is a glorified advert with listings doesn't mean it should get away with those shallow and offensive features it turns out each month. Shanghaiist itself doesn't even have those listings and is only a couple of news articles and some semi-acceptable photos away from that pack. Better find those new contributors soon.
