Hmmm...this is weird. After hearing all the complaints I watched the video on Youtube. The beginning above, which is so out of sync on your news clip, is pretty much perfectly in sync. The original really isn't bad at all (at least what you can see during the closeups). And I'm a Chinese speaker who was a professional singer for 20 years.

Most of the people interviewed on Chinese TV read off prompters. Don't you ever wonder how can people be so eloquent when being interviewed on the spot? Maybe I am just the nervous type.

What she needs right now is a mirror and a new hair stylist. I mean, WHAT IS GOING ON UP THERE?

If you want Chinese TV often, most of the people interviewed for TV read off prompters. It's really hard to be that eloquent about an issue when you are interviewed on the spot. Or maybe I am just the nervous type.

What Ziyi need is not to be disowned but some love and a new hair stylist. I mean WHAT IS GOING ON UP THERE?

Another weird moment --

the CCTV anchor guy (Zou Yue?)'s microphone was on during one of the performances, and all of a sudden you could hear him say something that sounded like "Oh God."

I also noticed that when the anchors did the simultaneous translations, they sometimes were way ahead of what the emcees were actually saying.

Plus, could it have been any more obvious that the first migrant worker they interviewed in Guangzhou was reading off a prompter?

Can China disown Ziyi Zhang? They may want to look into it.

And the hair?
