Live Music: Get in the Van and free Bjork tickets

This weekend venues are still suffering from the New Year hangover and not many events are happening. You might check out blues band, Studio 188, who will be performing at the Blues Room on Saturday. Or maybe join the firecracker loving crowds throughout the city for a bit of noise.

One event we are excited about (and bummed that we will have to miss) is the Get in the Van event scheduled for Friday the 22nd. Starting out at C's a bus is going to pick up the crowd at 8:30pm, hand out all the free REEB beer you can drink, and head for Live bar where Boys Climbing Ropes, Rogue Transmission and Banana Monkey will be performing. After that it is back on the bus (more REEB) and a trip to Logo Bar where Hard Queen and a bunch of DJs will keep the party going late into the night. Entrance to Live Bar is only 30rmb, bus ticket is 10rmb and entrance to Logo is free ... so the grand total for one hell of a fun night is 40rmb and that includes a ton of free beer!

Everyone has been talking about the Bjork concert in March and we at Shanghaiist are excited to see her performance.
