You sound like a professional, maybe you should show him how to do it...and it seems that you dont much about sound systems,and microphone control, with a ragged system and a atmosphere as logo, even the best singer will be challenged.. and from what i know Lucius ( Not Lucio) is not a beginner and maxime has been in the drumming scene longer then you know. Get your research about people and places before you make such overpowering and strong judgements. and if you dont like the music, you shouldnt go there. Can ruin the amtospere for the people who really enjoy this band......but dont worry we will all be awaiting to hear you and your band pave the way....

Ya, Peijin, I have to agree with you. Logo is a rather divey place. The only reason me and my girlfriends ever set foot in that smokey, sticky place is to hear Lucius sing. The vibe on Wednesdays is good. Good crowd, good music. I get a little weak in the knees hearing Marvin Gaye's "What's Goin On?"

I have listened this band many times. And they do have some cool thing going on, worth it to listen, given the few live events we still have on Shanghai. The musicians are for sure good and the music choices is ok. Vladimir plays awesome, and so does Alan (the bass player from Mauritius). Maxime is improving in the drums every time more and is noticeable he is doing some practice, he is getting every time better; cheers to keep rocking. Lucio has a good voice to work on, but he sure needs to practice. He's beginning and hopefully he will make it to a next level, but he needs to put more energy on studying and practicing. The stage is a good place to be, but it's even better when the atmosphere and the music flow smoothly, letting it be, it would be appropriate way to say. Live music has its own life once the musicians begin to play a song, and the art on the performing is to feel this energy, to follow its vibe and eventually to be able to manage it to go where the whole band can take it, also interacting with the audience sometimes, all as a team playing ball, for example. So part of the deal on a band is this flowing of the sound and the energy of the tunes and the singer when in a leading role has to understand this in order to be a good leader. Lucio's voice is very nice but needs to be worked much more, to be a respectable singer he can't go out tune on almost every song and he has to relax and give space to the musicians when the solos come. Even when he goes out of tune is nice to listen to him but it sure does blows when he doesn't let the others extend on their solos, that shows he is not always listening to what this guys are playing and to listen is part of playing too. Hopefully he will put more energy on his singing and make a full night on tune to begin with, and he will begin to give the space to the musicians also. If he does so the band will be more solid and more worth it to listen every Wednesday. Peijin Chen, I respect the writing and the idea of supporting the live music scene on Shanghai. But if you are going to write about a band, better show to them you are listening. It's a fun sure but needs lot of work yet, they can be much better and they need to work on that if they want to be more serious about their music. And I bet they need to know people listen to them and they are not only drinking, smoking and flirting around. To be critic doesn't mean to be offensive, but to be supportive for progress and improvement. I don't know about you, but I want to see good bands and DJs playing on Shanghai and I want them to be strong on doing great music, specially if they have a good raw material - and not that raw in this case.
