If you were going to burn a venue, a swimming pool would be the safest choice.

What would the odds be on Chinese fans lighting the seats of a venue on fire should a Chinese athlete lose a close match to a Japanese or American one? Or even a blowout for that matter?

It's funny that the coach defended her 'fatty' comment as being thw words of a shild (28 year old child).

The world of Chinese sports journalists and commentators is chock full of racist and insensitive commentry. Back home you'd get a fine, or sometimes have to step down ..like Don Imus or Ron Atkinson ... but here it goes unchecked.

My recently witnessed STV low-lights include:

Australian Open, commenting on Tsonga reaching the final - "hey, he realy is a black (dark) horse ..ha ha ha, you know ...becuase he's black."

The G-talk show explaining the fight between badminton star Lin Dan and opposition coach Li Mao: "if the coach, or the ref, was one of those blonde-haired, blue eyed foreigners it's normal they'd cheat or be biased against us but Li mao is also Chinese, so that's why Lin Dan got angry."

and many many more ...
