The dire restaurant choices at Pudong Airport will get a boost when Terminal 2 opens on March 26.

Restaurants announced in the new terminal include:
- 1930s style fine dining at "Peace @ The Bund"
- Cafe Ritazza
- Burger King
- Korean fast-food
- Heineken Bar
- an Italian restaurant
- HK-style dumplings
There are also the requisite Chinese options and a Teppanyaki place. No word yet as to whether the Teppanyaki will feature an all-you-can-drink option for any nervous flyers.

I hope there's another cheerway! I love paying 55RMB for crap niu rou mian!
Great, now they just have to fix Terminal 1
How does crappy Hongqiao have better food options? Element Fresh, McDonald's, a KFC that isn't located all the way out near the MagLev?
Fair enough, Element Fresh is a nice touch, but this line up still beats HongQiao in my opinion. I would guess that the catering contracts were sewn up at Pudong many moons ago and are only just coming up for renewal in T1.
Anyway things are looking up, so stop whining!
Burger King is a welcome addition to Pudong but in my opinion, HongQiao is still the clear winner with McDonalds, KFC, Elements Fresh - all it's missing is a Starbucks.
I'm not sure it's about contracts, I suspect there's some guanxi stuff going on behind the scenes that keeps crappy Chinese coffee shops in the monopoly situation and the international franchises out at Pudong.
Whining is part and parcel with being an expat, no?
Especially with Hong Kong and their world beating line up of Banana Leaf, Popeye's Fried Chicken, Hui Lau Shan, Maxim's and Cafe de Coral.
I seem to remember Hong Kong having a food court with a BK as well. I could be wrong, all these massive Asian airports kind of blur into one for me.
Yes, HK airport has a Burger King. It's the only branch in the whole of Hong Kong. The only thing they're missing is a Cheerway!
