That pitch WAS crap. players were digging up huge patches with every planted step. The China All Star hung tough for a while, but the high pressure style and the size of the Galaxy just took their toll.

I remember catching an exhibition match between Shanghai Shenhua (in their heydays) vs. Man Utd maybe 3-4 years ago. I don't even remember who showed up exactly from United, but I'd say a couple of them should be on par with the Becks in terms of football stardom.
