Hillary Clinton calls for Bush boycott of Olympic opening ceremony in Beijing

She's just jealous Baidu didn't choose her. From ESPN.com:

"The violent clashes in Tibet and the failure of the Chinese government to use its full leverage with Sudan to stop the genocide in Darfur are opportunities for Presidential leadership," Clinton said in a statement. "These events underscore why I believe the Bush administration has been wrong to downplay human rights in its policy towards China. At this time, and in light of recent events, I believe President Bush should not plan on attending the opening ceremonies in Beijing, absent major changes by the Chinese government."

And, because this is just how things work, Barack Obama is now going get pressured to make his stance on China/Tibet public. Meanwhile, we seemingly should start looking into purchasing the Tibetist and Olympicsist domain names.

Oh, and this just in: Foreign media reports saying the Olympic flame was extinguished in Paris are "false"! Or so says Xinhua.

And now all eyes turn to San Francisco, where the Olympic torch route has been changed. Damn hippies.
