This is certainly more surprising than the other oops of the day. In his defense, I am very bad at knowing what I am saying but saying the wrong thing. What I mean is that he MEANS Tibet, but, for some reason, he is saying Nepal, probably because he has just read an article about the Maoist victory in the elections there. This is like when my grandmother used to call me by my cousin's name when she wasn't paying attention (no she was not senile yet). This does not make the effect of what he said any less shocking. Un faux pas par excellence.

China has its sights on Nepal as well, that is why it has built large highways up to the border and PLA troops are building the railway link to Nepal's capital.
