With all the mud slinging going on between the Chinese and Western media, Shanghaiist is looking forward to some mindlessly good fun without the political positioning this Saturday with dance punkers You Say Party! We Say Die!.
Hailing from Vancouver, YSP! WSD! has been infecting fans with their brand of dance punk since forming in 2004. With 2 albums and several international tours under their belt YSP! WSD! has set their sights on bringing spastic convulsions to the venue floors of Asia. They will be playing at the ZhiJiang Dream Factory with local favorites Banana Monkey, Boys Climbing Ropes and Hard Queen. If that isn’t enough excitement for one night, Antidote is throwing the official after party with Copenhagen based DJ duo, Ladybox, at the Shelter. STD is also getting into the act with an after party featuring Nanjing punk bands Overdose and Angry Jerks at the new and supposedly improved Logo. Shanghaiist plans on hitting all three, starting out with YSP! WSD! followed by a quick trip to Logo for the Angry Jerks set and then over to the Shelter for a late night of sweaty dance floor action with the Antidote crew.

show time is 8pm..there are 3 opening bands so YSP! WSD! is planning to take the stage around 10:00pm....price is 60rmb...oh...and I hear there are cheap beers.........I also hear that promoter is lazy most of the time....haha
