Yuyintang: 0093 rock party four

With so many shows on last night and the rain coming down you might think that a multi-band party at Yuyintang would lose out. That is if you reckoned without the Crazy Mushroom Brigade. Yuyintang made moves to improve the latest edition of the 0093 Rock Party by bringing in a couple of larger acts: Crazy Mushroom Brigade and Mortal Fools. It was the Mushrooms who brought their 'A' game and tore the place up.

The crowd was mainly local with the opening acts bringing down their student followings. They all stayed for the Mushrooms and by a few songs in the moshing had commenced and the party was in full swing. However, with the crowd pumped up and ready for more, the following band were a semi-serious unrehearsed act (Wu Jiao Xing) that should have gone on first. Next up about a third of the local crowd left to make sure they could get the last train home ...oh yes ... leaving Mortal Fools to pick up the pieces. Finally the remaining crowd rallied and Mortal Fools ended the night on an up.

It has to be said that with their great stage presence, new original material and tighter set, the Mushrooms must be ready to headline a packed out mosh-fest at somewhere like Tembo.
