having or not having a television in the 80s wouldn't be much of an impediment to seeing movies that John Cusack stars in. I mean, we actually went to movie theaters then . . .just sayin'.

@ nanheyangrouchuan: I really enjoyed "High Fidelity." It stands out as my favorite of the roles that Cusack plays. I didn't have a TV in the 80s, so missed out on those classics you mention. @ taihanasie and James: the "Gong Li character" reference was no stab at Gong Li. I merely meant that she is the love interest that gets the hero. I didn't mean that she always plays the same character (or that the character in the movie is based on Gong Li). I have never even seen one of her movies.

Gong Li's character would be the "Gorgeous woman". Fits her. BTW Shanghai is not filming in Shanghai. It will be London and Bangkok I read recently. Cusack is a ladies man for sure.

My friend told me that he had to give his table to John Cusack and he said John Cusack was indifferent and seemed that he didn't want to come. My friend was pissed off at him. By the way the film was blocked from filming in Shanghai at first and then I guess there was a comprise then.
