Yuyintang: May holiday madness

Copy%20of%20hedgehog_yyt%202.jpgMay holiday was looking a bit bleak for music fans after the cancellation of the Midi Festival both here and in Beijing. However, despite initial setbacks Yuyintang are determined to put something on.

Here's the breaking news from YYT:

Since Midi is cancelled, we think there should be something special down here for the May holiday. How speical is it? Well...that depends on you!

Although there won't be some stages outside, you can still have fun in the park. Grab your friends n your guitar, tent, football or even squirt guns(let's have a fight!). Also a BBQ will be set in the park after 6pm.

Gigs will begin after 8pm.from April 29 to May 8.That's going to be a dozen shows from some of talented Chinese and international bands that were going to grace the Midi stages. The line-up's developing, here's what we've got so far:

May 1, 8pm-2am
YugGo, Crazy Mushrooms, Cold Fairyland and more
Tickets: RMB40 for students, RMB50 for everyone else

May 2, 8pm-2am
Red Banana(Hefei), heaven's night(Hefei), MIG21, Old Doll(Nanjing), Angry Jerks(Nanjing).
Cover: RMB30 for students, RMB40 for everyone else

May 3, 9pm
Gammalux (Germany)

May 7, 9pm
The 21 Century Noise (Sweden)

May 8, 9pm
Surferosa (Norway)

Football, BBQ, squirt guns ... then bands all night. Sounds good to us and we'll definitely be there. Also appearing at Yuyintang this Tuesday are British act Three Stories High supported by Sko.

Stupid question here - does BBQ'd food come with the price of the ticket? Is it bring-your-own?
