BBC reports that the group of British tourists on their way to Wolong when the quake struck has turned up unharmed. So far, the official word from Xinhua is that there have been zero foreigner deaths (Note: report is from Tuesday morning), but a more recent report from AFP cites Xinhua as saying two Chinese-Americans and one Thai tourist in Sichuan have yet to be located.
This morning, we received an email from Shanghaiist reader Peter Malik:
Shanghaiist,
Have a friend John Bergen who teaches at Sichuan Tech and Business College in Dujiangyan. His family has not been able to reach him. Can you help to provide information?
Thank you
Dujiangyan happens to be the city where the collapsed school in this post is located. It was also the location that Premier Wen and Al-Jazeera chose to go. Reports indicate that numerous buildings have collapsed in the town. If any reader has any other friends teaching at Sichuan Tech and Business College who might be able to provide any leads on John Bergen, please get in touch with us so that we can put you in contact with Peter Malik.
Here at Shanghaiist, we are noticing a very significant spike in the number of readers surfing in from the Chengdu region. Once again, if you or anyone close to you has been affected by the earthquake, please write to us at info AT shanghaiist DOT com. While we may not be able to verify or fact check each specific case, we will do our part to compile a list of foreigners missing after the quake and hopefully connect a few of them to their loved ones.

amazing work you guys are doing at shanghaiist during this whole mess. You have found a great way to contribute, keep up the good work.
