Quote of the Day: Premier Wen Jiabao (温家宝) and Chinese netizens

Premier Wen Jiabao (温家宝)

"Any trivial matter multiplied by 1.3 billion will become a big problem;
Any astronomical figure divided by 1.3 billion will become a tiny number."

一个很小的问题,乘以13亿,都会变成一个大问题;一个很大的总量,除以13亿,都会变成一个小数目。

— Prime Minister Wen Jiabao (温家宝) —

"A little kindness multiplied by 1.3 billion will become an ocean of love;
A great problem divided by 1.3 billion will become a trivial matter."

一点很小的善心,乘以13亿,都会变成爱的海洋;一个很大的困难,除以13亿,都会变得微不足道。

— Chinese netizens have turned Wen's quote above into a
widely-distributed Internet meme in the wake of the Sichuan earthquake —

"A single death is a tragedy, a million deaths is just a statistic"
-Josef Stalin

"A single death is a tragedy, a million deaths is just a statistic"

that's an incredibly insane,lunatic,ruthless and stupid comment.

If all we in America have to lend is our hearts, our hearts are with China. But we have more to give and I would be shocked and saddened if our government contibutes anything less than billions. We've been through this before, and no one here is unaware of how devastating an earthquake like this is. I'm so grateful Chengdu wasn't hit worse, but I think of those people outside of that city, struggling in darkness to survive and to help other survivors. They need help now.

Lest we forget that so many Chinese cheered on 9/11.

Do have any evidence of that you bloodthirsty scum? Taking the deaths of over 50,000 innocent people and trying to turn it into some cheap political point is sickening. You should be ashamed of yourself for posting that here. Crawl back to your hole you worthless hideous snake of a human. You glory in the death of innocent people whether it's Sichuan or 9/11. You make me puke.
