I took the fam to this place Friday night after seeing it recommended here, and happened to run into a former SH-ist contributer there with friends as well (hi N!). As the review said, it was delicious and super-cheap. We had a beef patty to start off (sorta like a beef pie, which BTW are also delish), jerk chicken with Jamaican rice, oxtail with rice and red beans, and sweet potato fries. Both the chicken and oxtail were paired with vegetables and cooked cabbage, as well as a hearty vegetable soup. The ginger beer was overwhelming at first but ice-cold and deliciously refreshing. I'd add a spoonful of sugar next time, but then I am known for my inveterate sweet tooth. All this cost only RMB 74. I have a hard time believing these prices will last, so I'd hit this place up sooner rather than later.
