It's a great shame. I really had high hopes that the Chinese government would be able to clear the air in Beijing. God knows they have the power to do it. What's likely to happen is that Chinese athletes could win many, many gold medals as no others have the cast-iron lungs to compete. Watch out, expats! The foreign media will report on the air pollution in Beijing and Chinese people will sneer at us because 'foreign newspaper very hate China'.
