WBDVD, you're being a bit too serious. I was alluding to the fact that Islam was established by the prophet Muhammed in the 7th century AD while 'Chinese' culture is popularly perceived to be much older. By the way, has the last sentence of the post been edited?

Les, you're responding to one oversimplification with another. There's no such thing as true cultural primacy--all cultures are hybrid, and Hui Chinese culture is a mix of many cultural strains, as is "Chinese" culture.
