The problem is that wounded nationalism. And there isn't 1.3 billion people when you discount Taiwan, Tibet and E. Turkestan.

@DaffyDuck
You don't know much I love your beloved president, especially when he suddenly changed his mind "unconditionally" and express his hard-headed willingness to attend the Olympic openning ceremony, after he has got no positive response for his demand of result from Beijing-Daliar talk and after China told him he was not welcome, maybe because 88% of 195,000 surveyed Chinese are "wounded nationalists", even more "nationalist" than our dear Tibetens brothers.
Though he has already fooled Chinese the orders of a total euro 2.5 billions 6 months ago, he still kept French unemployed in mind, for which he prepare to stand all kind of badmouthing. Chinese definitely will learn all from Sarkozy, mainly about his attitute to serve people. Comparing with his selfless merit, Chinese still have a long way to go.

Oh, I get it - we have a politician who actually has the balls to say his opinion aloud, does so reasonably, and points out real problems with China - and the nationalistically wounded Chinese netizens immediately demonize him.

Head in sand, everyone. Nothing wrong with our country. Decry the foreign devil for his unkind words.

I'm glad China learns all about 'political correctness' from the West.

what a diplomatic failure!
First he fooled Merkel and then he was fooled by Bush. The pimp is just not smart.
But he can still send his sweetie who would be welcome for sure, if she still remembered her cat-walk. Who said only Kadafi can send his wife to Athen as honoured guest?

Such online surveys are not representative!
The netizens can mobilize a lot of people to vote against the french head of the state. If you compare this to the MSN (L) you can feel, which power such snowball system has!

There was a discussion on German television 'bout Tibet where also a survey was started. You had to call in and press button 1 2 or 3 on your phone, depending your opinion. And guess what? Right! A lot (I mean a lot!) of chinese called in. The web also mobilized them to call in.

So my point is: Don't trust on such surveys! It may carve out a trend but not a clear opinion of the chinese people!

For illumination on how clever it is the netizens only need ask themselves if they are happy Bush is now coming. Touche.
