To start with, the men shown in the video are suffering from Psoriasis. The ultra violet rays in sun and salt water improve the condition considerably. The section of the beach shown has been used by sufferers of psoriasis in the 6 years that I have lived here, so probably much longer. People from the mainland will come to Sanya to find relief from the condition. As for the awkward poses - how else do you get the sun to shine where it normally does not. Even those areas need treatment by exposure to the sun. Europeans are very comfortable with nude or topless sunbathing and swimming. But Sanya has hardly become a destination for nudists be they Chinese or European. Dadong Hai is a great beach. One of the best in the world and I have been to many.
