Liu Wenli is a bit of a celebrity in China.
A police officer serving in Xicheng District of Beijing's Police Security Bureau, Liu is often seen chatting with the many tourists visiting the Wanshan Pavilion of Beijing's Jingshan Park. He is fluent in English, the first ever person in the police force to receive an Advanced-level Oral English Certificate. But check this out. Regardless of your nationality, Liu can offer you salutations in 13 languages (Chinese news media reports up to 20!)
Watch the video on the right to see CNN's coverage on Liu Wenli's mini celebrity status, where he even rocks, rather convincingly, a New York accent!

i wonder if the netizens of china will boycott this CNN video too? ;)
Those 3 American blondes were damn hot yo!
Once I met a midwest cop who, with salivar dropping, even doesn't know where Cuba is, not mentioning speaking Spanish. No wonder Americans think Guantamano is their internal business.
What you say makes sense and is relevant.
Not so much a New York accent as it is "Urban African-American". I admire his enthusiasm.
Hey I know where he got his Afro line.. it was a straight paraphrase of Chris Tucker in Rush Hour 3!
So this cop can ask stupid questions like "what do you think of China?" and "Do you know Yao Ming" in 13 languages?
Eastman no se habla espanol.
To yangrouchuan BBQ,
You clearly show your decent "gentlemanhood" at your extremity. Did this cop do any harm to you, like I did to your arsh, or any Chinese treat your bad Chinese this cynicle way, or how many Americans can speak Chinese compared with Chinese who can speak English?
I only hope when you finally grow up, you will not feel regret when thinking of your intolerance and unfreindliness. Then you will not dare to switch on the light for a single second, only to see your flushing face.
Shame on you!
