the copy-industry employs a lot of people and feeds many more. lacking alternative employment it is not prudent to do away with it. also, imho, the people who buy copies of luxury goods would never buy the original. the damage to the original manufacturer is just imagination.

For anyone in China to call LA '84 "smog shrouded" truly defines pot.kettle.black mentality. Anyways, since I was both in LA in 1984 and will be in Beijing in 2008, I can say beyond all certainty that Beijing's smog is much much much worse than it ever got in LA in the 80s. I hope it clears up for the games, but the worst days in LA are pretty much equal to the very good days here in Shanghai.
