Don't be so naive cynical people, there ARE terrorists in this world, and they DO blow things up and kill people. And I'm pretty damn sure I saw one scoping out the subway the other day, and it totally freaked me out because there was something just not right about an extremely nervous (and I mean EXTREMELY nervous) middle-eastern looking guy with a fresh buzz cut dressed in brand new Abercrombie with the collar up and tracing words on the subway wall with his subway pass, wearing a nondescript black backpack that doesn't at all go with the rest of his 'new' look. Just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean I'm wrong (or right for that matter). There have been terrorist attempts at all recent Olympic games, what makes you think China is immune?

Eastman you really need to work in your deduction skills. Im not talking about china but rather another country with awful government - only with the hope of citizen led replacement. Hint: elections are coming up and we've had the worst president in nearly 230some odd years of nationhood for the last years. Yeah, the propoganda being spread around right now by the Chinese media (and Shanghai/China daily, of course) is peppered with vague, unspecific references to all the security issues that the authorities are bustin' up, the people from Xinjiang who were planning bad stuff, etc... China really is learning from the US. A good helping of fear and a perceived enemy is a great tool to get people to support the authorities and behave themselves.
