Shanghai enlists an army of Olympic blood donors

blood1.jpgAs part of the city's preparation for the Olympics, Shanghai has enlisted 2200 blood donors, who are to be ready to be called in at any time of day during the Games to donate their blood for free.

Okay, so we know that sports can be a little rough. But, seriously, will the Olympic football preliminaries be that violent? Is this precaution necessary because the organizers fear that the noble art of football hooliganism will spread to Shanghai when hordes of western football fans descend upon the city? Or are they worried about other kinds of incidents? In any case folks, remember that its not fair to beat someone, just because their team beat your team.
