You are all invited to join us Thursday night at Sasha's for the first Shanghaiist Happy Hour in a long, long time (nine months, to be exact). We think we have come up with a plan to avoid a similarly long gap between alcohol-related gatherings — the first Thursday of every month, we'll have a Shanghaiist Happy Hour featuring half-price drinks (and perhaps other special and great things) at Sasha's. And, as usual, these "happy hours" will not be limited to one hour (8 pm to midnight is what we're starting with).
So, please come join us Thursday night at Sasha's, and bring some friends. It will be good to catch up.
What: Shanghaiist Happy Hour at Sasha's (11 Dongping Lu, near Hengshan Lu, 东平路11号
近衡山路, Tel: 6474-6628). The entire first floor and garden area is open to Happy Hour guests.
When: Thursday, August 7, 8 pm to midnight

Electrolist: Musical legends rule, jah

oh pleeeaaase anywhere is better than sashas, and what happens if you dont drink vodka for the first 50rmb ?
Sorry you don't like Sasha's. We really enjoyed working with them for our earthquake charity function earlier this year and think they will be a good partner going forward. I like the venue and the location, too.
Regarding the 50 RMB, you will be given a voucher for a Russian Standard Vodka drink (they are the event sponsor). If you choose not to use it, you can always give it to a friend.
@masterbater, don't be a wanker. I for one am happy that Shanghaiist is hosting an event again!
dont get me wrong i love ists events but variety is the spice of life or so they say
I'll be there, and what's more it'll be the first night of my 3-day birthday bender in honour of turning 30.
Please feel free to give me your vodka voucher as a birthday gift.
Looking forward to it.
I'll be there!
