Detained Christian dissident Hua Huiqi makes his escape after guards fall asleep

Human Rights in China says underground pastor and religious dissident Hua Huiqi has escaped from the police after being detained together with his older brother while they were on their way to the Kuanjie Protestant Church in Beijing for a service that President George Bush was scheduled to attend. Both men are said to have been roughed up and "warned that their legs would be broken if they persisted in their efforts to attend church services", but the older Hua was soon released. Subsequently though, while his minders were fast asleep, Hua Huiqi managed to make his escape and is now in hiding. While the Beijing PSB has declined to confirm Hua's detention, the older brother says he has received numerous phone calls from them asking about the pastor's whereabouts. Calls made by the IHT to Hua's brother were disconnected several times due to alleged phone tapping by PSB agents. [Source]

sleeping guards... *brilliant*

(am taking notes: need to include this in next play!)

Heads are gonna roll no doubt. And the faithful will consider this a miracle no less.

--"Hua Huiqi were on their way to the Kuanjie Protestant Church"?

If he was an underground pastor of family church, why did he go to a church he repeatedly denounced as government sponcered which he swore will never set foot on?

Oh, now I know he only want to revert to Evangelic and to go there to lick sect leader's aasss.

Um... gee... I don't know. Could it have anything to do with the fact that the US president was at the church and the pastor had a few words to say? Nah.... that can't be it....

thats too logical...must be something else that a self-serving propgandist can believe

In discussing the issue of Hua Huiqi's escape from Chinese police, "eastman" commented:

Eastman, or whatever you call yourself; that was not a kind statement (to put it mildly) from you at all. Do you pray to be in such situation which this man of God and other Christians in that region found themselves? Are you a Christian at all? If you are, you must be heartless to mock a man who is doing all he could to make life and heaven better for as many as he could affect. If you are not, then you have no right whatsoever to make such statements; ...And how dare you sit in the comfort of your home and the luxury of your computer to condemn a man being persecuted? You have done worst than an infidel. And if you have a conscience at all, you need to go before God and plead for forgiveness for this your wayward judgmental attitude. “But if ye will not do so, behold, ye have sinned against the LORD: and be sure your sin will find you out." (Numbers 32:23)

If you found yourself in the same situation that he is in now, would you like someone to make such comments about you? I am sure people like you would not want to sacrifice as much as that man of God has done. Do you think your so-called freedom of speech grants you the right to deride a child of God? You will surely give account some day.

Your duty should be to pray for him rather than scoffing at him, so that God may deliver his pursuers from the hand of the powers using them. I pray God to open your eyes before it is too late… and if you fail to see what I am saying now, definitely, you will remember this e-mail when you are in the same situation, or even a worse condition.

I have told you…repent!

To Samuel Fadeyi

Oh, my, I am not only heartless as you said but also speechless. I will definitely start to repent and pray for the poor guy, especially with the Numbers 32:23, which, I guess, your holy president recited every night, especially the night before the Iraq War.
I thank God wholeheartedly who bless America so much that he finally offered here the America's finest and smartest!
Who said God is dead?
Amen!

"Eastman",

You may read and heed the following Scripture portions:

Ecclesiastes 8:11;
Proverbs 11:20,21;
Matthew 9:13; 3:8;
Mark 2:17;
2 Corinthians 7:10;
2 Chronicles 7:14.

With good will from Samuel.
