To add to POOR THING, Yahor Lapo of Belarus, the modern pentathlete who lost the lottery of in the equestrian phase of the competition and drew a horse by the name of Pingping. Sadly, Pingping didn't like jumping over fences and in the end earned Lapo the maximum penalty of 1200 points. And that was the end of Lapo's medal chances.

You forgot another villain: Mohammad Alirezaei, the Iranian swimmer who refused to race against an Israeli. And whatever coaches or officials from Iran who put him up to it. Completely disgraceful.
